When I am not able to run away to NYC I am found in Jacksonville, Florida at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts teaching theatre to an incredible group of young students. I have returned to Jacksonville from my summer in New York City. While there I was able to take in a formidable 27 shows which equates to 2,970 minutes sitting in the air-conditioned darkness with live theatre. I saw 4 💉💉💉💉💉 shows: Long Day’s Journey, Hadestown, Privacy, and Skeleton Crew and many, many 💉💉💉💉 shows. I saw 2 💉 shows: Lucie Pohl “Apohcalypse” and 2 by Tennessee Williams. I had to invite an entire new category: Poison ☠reserved for the very worst of theatre which I gave to Rhinoceros. I was also delighted to see two brand new plays featuring alumni of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. It was one terrific summer!
