Days of Wine and Roses

Even the design for the show was awkward. The first half of the show had all kinds of stagehands moving small set pieces back-and-forth and then in the second half of the play they used rolling platforms to come in and out. I’m just not sure what all the busyness and changing of scenes were all about. Both O’Hara and d’Arcy also had no chemistry.Β Β At times I felt they didn’t even like each other. They both seemed more interested in focusing on the audience then in creating a believable, passionate relationship with each other. This really led the show to no satisfying conclusion. It was sad that this was the most expensive of all my tickets for this trip and the most disappointing. I guess sometimes you don’t get what you pay for.
