well, I’ll let you go

The play works in a stripped down realism with a narrator that roams through all the scenes giving us background and capturing the necessary empathy to the story.  He was perfectly involved in the play – not too much-not too little.  There are so many rich themes in the play but my favorite was the experience of grief and how it wears differently on everyone. There is a big surprise coming to you at the end that you just don’t expect – but it just makes you love the characters even more.  Needless to say this is one of the finest new works I have seen in a long, long time.  I only hope this play has a life after this production.  This IS exactly what theatre should be and proves the art to be superior to any television or film experience.   There – I own my prejudiced views. Mark my words this is going to soon be the most produced play, both professional and non-professional, outside of New York.
