The bad news is that the man that she has been sharing her bed with is likely a pedophile that has gotten into quite a bit of trouble with the neighborhood and has some news articles written about him.  Of course, the woman does not believe these reports. She wants to keep the man’s innocence in her heart because how could Jesus ever give her a Sinner like that. The remainder of the one-act is about this woman trying to own very conflicted feelings.  On one hand she is enamored with this visiting man and on the other hand she is worried about her grandchildren who may have had some kind of encounter with him in the past.  Jesus doesn’t seem to offer any quick answers for this one. The Savior is a play that certainly allows a actress to really show her skills. Actress Marie Mullen is certainly up for the challenge.  She is big and passionate and full of fire.  It is a big emotional roller coaster that she goes on for 70 minutes.  My attention was fully kept inside the story. I had only wished that the actor who played her son was of the same acting capability as the principal actress.
