He also wants to tear down the stereotypes around the army and the people that serve. “They are just like us.” Posley goes on to call his show, “A purple show. It’s a red show done by a blue comedian.” I really loved this show. It was so simple and personal – – you couldn’t NOT love it. It opened yet another door into seeing the military machine and the actual good it gave to young men like Posley. It also showed the dark side of how we treat our veterans once they get back home. He went through some statistics and personal stories, and it was almost overwhelming. He is a young might with a bright theatrical future ahead of him.
My only criticism of the show is that it didn’t need the guise of setting it up as a boot camp experience for the audience as a way for us to get involved. We didn’t need the help. The topic and his passion was more than enough.
