Call Me Izzy

She carries with her a remarkable charm and wit that could easily make you believe she is a friend you have known for years.  When the good things arrive to her in the story such as a new friend, an invite to an adult literature course, or a cherished library card, you feel her heart just bubble to the top and float over the audience.  And of course, when the bad arrives – and it arrives in spades – we fear for every move she makes – walking on eggshells isn’t the half of it!  Domestic violence does indeed have a new voice in the theatre and this one cuts to the core.  We just hope that a wonderful simple woman with a suitcase of poetry has a chance to get on the right bus to a much better destination.  Jean Smart is a must see – you must call her Izzy!
