I also was wondering if perhaps half of the dialogue in the show could be cut. The movement to the show was so interesting that I think it could carry much of the story by itself. At times I thought the actors were saying too much and not showing enough. I would move this show more to a movement/dance peace. I think the piece would benefit from less language
I also thought that the language delivery itself was a bit too much on the same level. It had that Greek wailing and βtalking to God threatening and warning about things that are happening in the story.β But this got to be a little old after an hour of this. If you emphasize every word and every sentence all the time then suddenly you’re not emphasizing anything at all. I just wish they had saved the heightened language for the heightened moments. Some subtlety and humor would have gone a long way with this production.
The showering water at the end of the piece was a spectacular theatrical end to the piece. I wish that the rest of the show was so artfully realized.
