The play is ferocious in its power and language. Both men seem almost Shakespearean in the tragic element they bring to their mission. I cannot remember the last time I have seen two men go to battle on stage with such passion. I simply couldn’t take my eyes off of them. One thing I found interesting is that I never could figure out who to root for – do I root for the man who is stealing for the poor to fuel his greed – OR – do I root for the man is seeks to be the next despot of Russia. It was interesting to have a story of only anti-heroes!

I could go on and on with superlatives about this show! It was a textbook lesson in acting and sharing the stage with fire and intention. It was historical fiction at its finest. It left me wanting more!
